University House operates under a Charter approved by the Council of the Australian National University, and as a University trading enterprise.
The University appoints a Master, conventionally a senior academic, to lead University House. The Master reports to the University’s Chief Campus Environment Officer; is advised by a Board representing staff, students and members; and is supported by a Manager and their staff.
The current Master is Professor Peter Kanowski, who took up his appointment in May 2014. You can read more about his academic interests and activities here.
